Oops! This might sound basic, but let’s be honest—how many of us truly get the relationship between AI, ML, DL, and GenAI?
We see GenAI everywhere these days tools that write, draw, talk, and code! Most of them are powered by Large Language Models (LLMs).
Let’s break it down:
🧠AI is the superset: AI is the capability of a machine to simulate intelligent human behavior and perform tasks that typically require human intelligence.
➡️ ML (Machine Learning) is a subset of AI: A Broad Field of algorithms that learn patterns from data and improve from the experience.
➡️ DL (Deep Learning) is a subset of ML: Deep Learning uses artificial neural networks with multiple layers to analyze complex data and model complex patterns.
➡️ GenAI is a subset of DL: GenAI is a broader concept to generate new content like text, image, videos, compose music, code etc.
In the AI ecosystem, Generative AI leverages deep learning architectures to learn from data and then create new content, whether that’s text, images, music, or code.
So yes, GenAI is technically a subset of Deep Learning, which is a child of Machine Learning, which is under the big umbrella of AI.
Crazy.
Fascinating. Powerful.
Let’s keep decoding the layers of artificial intelligence! 🚀💡
